Bookings

  • Booking of all Light microscopes prior to use is compulsory, through the resource booking system in TLL intranet.

  • Users can make bookings up to 2 weeks in advance.

  • Each user is entitled to 2 bookings per system per week during weekdays from 9am to 6pm.

  • Bookings exceeding these limits are subjected to cancellation without warning.

  • Bookings on weekdays (after 6pm) and on weekends are not restricted.

  • Any microscope with an available slot less than 24 hours in advance may be booked by users, regardless of how many bookings they have for the week.

  • If you do book extra slots within the 24 hour period, please make a note of this in the booking description so that we don't accidentally delete your other slots for the week.

  • Each booking may not exceed 3 hours. If extra time is needed, bookings can be extended out of peak hours.

  • You may not make bookings on two different systems at the same time.

  • If you cannot attend a booked session for any reason, it is compulsory that you cancel your booking through the TLL intranet and email TLL confocal to announce the availability.

  • If you are swapping a session with a member of your lab, you must change the booking details.

  • You are not allowed to make bookings on behalf of other people.

  • If a user fail to show up within the first 30 minutes of their booking, the slot is forfeited and is free for anyone to use.
