Bioinformatics

Here at TLL, a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster is available for bioinformatics analyses. The cluster is composed of 5 compute nodes with a total of 120 compute cores and 95TB RAID storage space. There are more than 50 bioinformatics tools installed on the cluster, including CLCbio Genomics Workbench and Galaxy, among many others.

If you would like to use the bioinformatics tools and databases in the HPC, you have to first set up a HPC account.

Please follow the instructions below:

• For New users, please fill in the HPC Request Form (need to be in TLL network) and submit to CSD for approval.
• Upon approval, users will receive an account that can be used to access the HPC cluster.
• You may refer to the Beginners guide avaliable on the TLL biocomputing Wiki page (need to be in TLL network) which serves as a good starting point on using the TLL HPC.
